Three people arrested following drug bust in Louisiana

LOUISIANA — A narcotics investigation in Lafourche Parish has led to the arrest of three men, according to Sheriff Craig Webre.

Derek Constant, 36, of Chackbay, along with Lance Gros, 41, and Eric Rodrigue, 38, both of Thibodaux, were taken into custody on Thursday, June 19, following an investigation into methamphetamine distribution.

Narcotics agents had been investigating Constant and obtained a warrant for his arrest.

When agents arrived at his Chackbay residence, they encountered all three men. After detaining Constant, agents secured a search warrant for the home.

During the search, they discovered suspected methamphetamine, heroin, clonazepam, Suboxone, and various drug paraphernalia.

All three men were booked into the Lafourche Parish Correctional Complex in Thibodaux. Each faces charges of possession of methamphetamine, heroin, clonazepam, and drug paraphernalia.

Constant faces additional charges for possession of Suboxone and the original warrant for meth distribution. Rodrigue was also booked on a warrant for contempt of court, while Gros is being held on a probation violation by Louisiana Probation and Parole.

As of Friday, bail had not yet been set for any of the suspects.
