KENTUCKY — A coordinated drug investigation led by the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office on Friday, July 25, resulted in the arrest of three individuals and the seizure of large amounts of methamphetamine, firearms, and drug-related cash.
The operation was a joint effort involving the McCracken, Calloway, and Marshall County Sheriff’s Offices, as well as the Paducah and Hopkinsville Police Departments.
Detectives conducted a traffic stop at a hotel located at 5300 Cairo Road in Paducah, where they discovered methamphetamine packaged for distribution, marijuana, digital scales, drug paraphernalia, a handgun, and a large amount of suspected drug money inside the vehicle.
Two suspects, 34-year-old Nathan S. Bledsoe of West Paducah and 35-year-old Ashley Higginbotham of Paducah, were arrested at the scene.
Authorities also searched the couple’s hotel room and recovered additional narcotics and paraphernalia.
Later the same day, in a separate but related case, detectives arrested 34-year-old Travis L. Lacy of Hopkinsville after observing him travel to Paducah to deliver meth.
He was stopped at a business on County Park Road, where officers found a significant quantity of methamphetamine hidden in a concealed compartment of his vehicle, along with a loaded firearm and a large sum of cash.
A subsequent search of Lacy’s residence in Hopkinsville uncovered even more methamphetamine.
The investigation is ongoing, and officials say additional charges may follow.
