SOUTH CAROLINA — Three people were arrested Sunday night after deputies said they were caught removing items from a private dump site in Lenoir County.

According to the Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded around 10:01 p.m. on Dec. 7 to Hodges Farm Road after a caller reported a male and female taking items from a dump area on private property. When deputies arrived, they saw a red Chevrolet truck attempting to leave and detained the male driver.

The property owner later returned and showed deputies security footage allegedly showing the suspect taking metal and other items from the dump site without permission. Deputies arrived within six minutes of the call and searched the surrounding area for additional suspects. During the search, they found a woman and another man lying in a field across the road. Both were taken into custody without incident.

Investigators said the suspects had cut and damaged a fence at the back of the property to enter the area.

The three suspects — Michael Jackson, Sheena Britt, and Offen Davis III, all of Lenoir County — were booked into the Lenoir County Jail on the following charges:

Michael Jackson — $5,000 secured bond
• Felony breaking and entering
• Felony conspiracy

• Felony conspiracy
• Felony larceny after breaking and entering
