Thousands without power in Wisconsin

WISCONSIN — Thousands of residents across Wisconsin are without electricity Tuesday morning, according to data from PowerOutage.us.

As of the latest update, approximately 2,702 homes and businesses are without power statewide out of more than 2.9 million customers tracked. That represents about 0.09% of customers.

Racine County reported the highest number of outages, with about 1,117 customers affected. Walworth County followed with 979 outages, while Adams County reported 285. Smaller outages were also reported in Waukesha County, Outagamie County and Kenosha County.

Among utility providers, We Energies reported the largest number of outages, with 1,343 customers affected. Alliant Energy and Adams-Columbia Electric Cooperative also reported significant outages.

Officials said Wisconsin currently ranks among the states with higher outage totals nationwide, including a relatively higher percentage of customers affected compared to other states.

Utility crews continue working to restore service.
