
TEXAS — More than 3,000 homes and businesses across Texas are without electricity as of Saturday morning, according to the latest outage data.
A total of 3,301 customers are currently without power statewide, representing about 0.02% of the 15,575,383 customers tracked.
Texas ranks seventh in the nation for the total number of power outages and 13th for the percentage of customers affected.
Out of the state’s 254 counties, Harris County has the highest number of outages, with 1,908 customers without power. Harris is also the hardest-hit county by percentage, with approximately 0.08% of its customers affected.
Other counties reporting outages include Montgomery (304 customers), Fort Bend (180), Liberty (164), Dallas (93), Red River (77), Brazoria (73), and Smith (61).
Statewide, 78 utilities are being monitored. CenterPoint Energy reports the highest number of customers without service, with 2,272 outages. Meanwhile, Rio Grande Electric Cooperative has the highest percentage of customers impacted, with about 0.35% without power.
Utility crews are continuing to respond as outages are reported across the state.
