
TEXAS — Thousands of customers across Texas are without electricity Friday morning as scattered power outages were reported statewide, according to data from PowerOutage.com.
As of Friday morning, approximately 5,942 customers are reported without power across Texas, out of more than 15.48 million customers tracked. The outages were spread across several counties, with the highest number reported in Harris County, where about 2,403 customers were without service.
Ector County reported roughly 1,227 outages, while Johnson County had about 525 customers affected.
Additional outages were reported in Fort Bend County with approximately 259 customers without power. Smaller numbers were noted in Jefferson County, where 148 customers were affected, Cameron County with 143 outages, Bell County with 106, and Anderson County with 94 customers without electricity.
Residents experiencing power outages are encouraged to report them to their local utility providers and to use caution around downed power lines while crews work to restore service across the state.
