
TEXAS — Thousands of customers across Texas are without power Friday evening, according to data from PowerOutage.com.
As of Friday evening, 8,219 customers are reported without electricity statewide out of more than 15.4 million customers tracked. Outages were scattered across multiple regions, with the highest number reported in Val Verde County, where 4,897 customers were without service.
Other counties reporting outages included Midland County with 977 customers affected, Atascosa County with 689 outages, and Harris County with 556 customers without power.
Smaller numbers of outages were also reported in Dallas County with 207 customers affected, Bexar County with 154, Denton County with 124, and McLennan County with 117.
Residents experiencing outages are encouraged to report them directly to their electric providers and monitor updates from local utilities.
