
TEXAS — More than 2,500 homes and businesses across Texas are without electricity as of Monday morning, according to the latest outage data.
Statewide, 2,568 customers are without power, representing about 0.02% of the 15,607,737 customers tracked. Texas currently ranks eighth in the nation for total outages and 21st for the percentage of customers affected.
Outages are scattered across multiple counties, with Lynn County reporting the highest number of customers without service at 1,476. The county is also the hardest hit by percentage, with approximately 17.25% of customers affected.
Other counties reporting outages include Harris County (408), Cameron County (249), Tarrant County (139), San Patricio County (81), Fort Bend County (56), Travis County (28), and Hudspeth County (19).
Among utility providers, Xcel Energy reports the largest number of outages, with 1,476 customers without power. The company also has the highest percentage of customers affected among utilities in the state, at about 0.45%.
Crews are working to restore power in impacted areas. No estimated restoration times have been announced. Residents are encouraged to report outages to their providers and to avoid downed power lines.
