
TEXAS — As of Tuesday afternoon, 14,857 homes and businesses are without electricity across Texas, according to the latest outage data. That represents about 0.1% of the 15,577,006 customers tracked statewide.
Texas currently ranks fifth in the nation for the total number of power outages and ninth for the percentage of customers affected nationwide.
Out of the state’s 254 counties, Collin County is reporting the highest number of outages, with 4,084 customers without power. Collin County is also the hardest hit by percentage, with about 0.87% of customers affected.
Statewide, 78 utilities are being monitored. Oncor is reporting the largest number of customers without service, with 5,011 outages. Meanwhile, Greenbelt Electric Cooperative has the highest percentage of customers impacted, with 10.66% of its customers currently without power.
Utility crews are working to restore service as quickly and safely as possible. Residents are encouraged to report outages directly to their local utility provider and to use caution around downed power lines.
