
TEXAS — Thousands of Texans are without electricity Saturday afternoon as scattered power outages were reported across the state, according to data from PowerOutage.com.
As of approximately 3:07 p.m., a total of 3,524 customers were experiencing power outages statewide out of more than 15.47 million customers tracked. While the overall outage percentage remained low, several counties reported notable numbers of affected customers.
Hidalgo County recorded the highest number of outages, with 1,655 customers without power.
Dallas County followed with 478 outages, while Harris County reported 334 customers without electricity. Additional outages were reported in Grayson County, where 166 customers were affected, and Tarrant County, which saw 119 outages.
Smaller numbers of outages were also documented in Liberty County with 75 customers, Randall County with 72, and Ector County, where 59 customers were without service.
PowerOutage.com updates its data regularly as utilities report changes. No statewide cause for the outages was immediately identified, and restoration timelines may vary by location. Residents experiencing outages are encouraged to report them directly to their local electric utility and monitor official utility channels for updates on restoration efforts.
