
TENNESSEE — More than 2,400 homes and businesses are without electricity across Tennessee as of Thursday morning, according to the latest outage data.
A total of 2,416 customers were reported without power statewide, representing approximately 0.07% of the 3,467,618 customers tracked. Tennessee currently ranks fifth in the nation for the number of power outages and sixth for the percentage of customers affected.
Outages are impacting multiple counties, with Blount County experiencing the largest number of customers without power at 2,122.
Blount County is also the hardest hit by percentage, with about 2.79% of customers affected. Other counties reporting outages include Greene, Hawkins, Fentress, Hamilton, Sevier, Bedford, and Jefferson, though at significantly lower levels.
Utility data shows Fort Loudoun Electric Cooperative has the highest number of customers without power at 2,123 and also the highest percentage of customers affected, with 5.81% experiencing outages.
Restoration efforts are ongoing. Customers experiencing outages are encouraged to report issues to their local utility providers and monitor updates as crews work to restore service.
