OHIO — More than 2,200 customers across Ohio are without electricity as of Monday morning, according to data from PowerOutage.us.

As of the latest update, 2,225 homes and businesses are reported without power statewide, representing about 0.04% of the more than 5.4 million customers tracked.

Stark County reported the highest number of outages, with 1,033 customers affected. Other counties with notable outages include Cuyahoga County with 309, Belmont County with 143, Franklin County with 139 and Washington County with 83.

By utility, American Electric Power Ohio reported the largest number of outages, with 1,486 customers affected. FirstEnergy reported 384 outages, while Cleveland Public Power reported 135.

Despite the outages, the overall percentage of affected customers remains relatively low statewide. However, officials note that localized impacts may still be significant, particularly in areas like Stark County, which has the highest percentage of customers without power.

Ohio currently ranks among the top states in the nation for total outages, though far lower in terms of overall percentage affected.

Residents experiencing outages are encouraged to report them to their local utility providers and monitor updates as crews work to restore service.
