
OHIO — As of Wednesday afternoon, 2,832 homes and businesses across Ohio are without electricity, according to the latest outage data updated eight minutes ago. The outages represent approximately 0.05% of the 5,362,097 customers tracked statewide.
Ohio currently has the ninth-highest number of power outages in the United States and ranks 16th nationwide for the percentage of customers affected.
Out of Ohio’s 88 counties, Wayne County is reporting the highest number of outages, with 1,061 customers without power. Wayne County is also the hardest hit by percentage, with 2.37% of its customers affected.
Other counties reporting outages include Medina (704), Franklin (593), Cuyahoga (137), Mahoning (105), Stark (40), Washington (25), and Muskingum (19).
A total of 32 utilities are tracked across the state. FirstEnergy reports the largest number of customers without service, with 2,063 outages. Washington Electric has the highest percentage of customers affected among utilities, with 0.38% without power.
Utility crews are working to restore service, though no estimated restoration times were immediately available.
