
MINNESOTA — As of Saturday morning, thousands of customers across Minnesota are without electricity, according to the latest outage data.
Currently, 3,656 homes and businesses across the state are experiencing power outages. That represents 0.13% of the 2,861,210 customers tracked statewide. Minnesota currently ranks 5th in the United States for the number of outagesand also 5th for the percentage of customers affected nationwide.
Among Minnesota’s 86 counties, Blue Earth County has the highest number of outages. A total of 2,714 customersthere are without power. Blue Earth is also the hardest hit county by percentage, with 6.43% of customers affected.
Other counties reporting outages include Washington County with 316 customers without power, Martin County with 189, Jackson County with 172, Ramsey County with 55, Nicollet County with 50, Stearns County with 26, and Brown County with 21 customers affected.
Utility data shows BENCO Electric Cooperative has the largest number of customers without power, reporting 2,238 outages. The cooperative also has the highest percentage of customers affected, with 10.86% of its service area currently without electricity.
In total, 41 utilities are tracked across Minnesota. Power companies continue monitoring and responding to outages as restoration efforts move forward across affected counties.
