
LOUISIANA — Thousands of residents across Louisiana are without electricity Tuesday morning, according to data from PowerOutage.us.
As of the latest update, approximately 3,543 customers are without power statewide out of more than 2.3 million tracked, representing about 0.15% of customers.
The largest number of outages was reported in St. Tammany Parish, where 1,537 customers were without power. Orleans Parish reported 961 outages, while Iberville Parish had 307 customers without electricity.
Additional outages were reported in St. Bernard Parish, Bossier Parish, Jefferson Parish, East Baton Rouge Parish and Tangipahoa Parish.
Among utility providers, Entergy reported the highest number of outages, with more than 1,700 customers affected. Washington-St. Tammany Electric Cooperative also reported significant outages and had the highest percentage of customers impacted at nearly 3%.
Officials have not released a specific cause for the outages. Restoration efforts are ongoing, and customers are encouraged to check with their local utility providers for updates.
