LOUISIANA — More than 5,000 customers were without electricity Wednesday morning following a power outage in Jefferson Parish.
According to the outage map from Entergy, approximately 5,300 customers lost power around 9:30 a.m. in the Old Metairie area.
Utility officials have not yet identified the cause of the outage. No estimated restoration time was immediately available.
Entergy crews were monitoring the situation as of Wednesday morning, and customers were advised to check the company’s outage map for updates as restoration efforts continue.
