
KENTUCKY — As of Tuesday morning, power outages across Kentucky are affecting several counties, with more than two thousand customers still without electricity statewide.
According to the latest outage data, 2,211 homes and businesses are without power, accounting for 0.09% of the 2,474,541 customers tracked across the state.
Kentucky ranked ninth in the nation for total power outages and sixth for the percentage of customers affected at the time of the update. Outages were concentrated in a small number of counties, with Bracken County experiencing the most significant impact. Bracken County reported 1,205 customers without power, the highest total in the state, and 22.08% of its customers were affected, making it the hardest-hit county by percentage.
Other counties reporting outages included Grayson, Jefferson, Pike, Pulaski, Kenton, Campbell, and Floyd, though at substantially lower levels.
Among utilities, Kentucky Utilities reported the largest number of affected customers, with 1,354 outages. Warren RECC had the highest percentage of customers without service at 0.76%. Utility crews continue to monitor conditions and work to restore service where outages remain.
