Thousands without power in Illinois

ILLINOIS — More than 3,500 customers across Illinois were without electricity Saturday night, according to the latest outage data.

As of the most recent update, 3,547 outages were reported statewide out of more than 5.7 million customers tracked. Sangamon County is seeing the most significant impact, with 3,083 customers without power.

Tazewell County reported 321 outages, while Madison County had 41. Smaller outages were listed in Macoupin (26), Peoria (25), Christian (22), St. Clair (11), and Brown County (2).

Utilities are working to restore service, but officials have not yet released estimated restoration times. Residents are urged to monitor local updates and prepare for possible extended interruptions.
