
FLORIDA — More than 4,800 homes and businesses across Florida were without electricity as of Sunday morning, according to the latest outage data.
A total of 4,804 customers were reported without power statewide, representing 0.04% of the 10,909,106 customers tracked.
Florida currently ranks fifth in the nation for the total number of power outages and 12th nationwide for the percentage of customers affected.
Out of Florida’s 67 counties, Wakulla County reported the highest number of outages, with 1,210 customers without service. Wakulla is also the hardest-hit county by percentage, with 6.36% of its customers affected.
Other counties with notable outages include Duval County with 1,024 customers without power, Clay County with 801, Okaloosa County with 535, and Broward County with 200. Smaller numbers were reported in Volusia, Jefferson and Miami-Dade counties.
Among the 34 utilities tracked statewide, Duke Energy reported the largest number of customers without power at 1,401. Clay Electric Cooperative had the highest percentage of its customers affected, with 0.4% without service.
Utilities continue to monitor and respond to outages across the state.
