FLORIDA — Thousands of homes and businesses across Florida are without electricity Saturday evening as scattered outages affected several counties throughout the state.

Orange County reported the highest number of outages, with approximately 1,502 customers affected. Polk County followed with about 1,039 outages, while Palm Beach County reported 976 customers without electricity.

Additional outages were reported in Miami-Dade County, where about 374 customers were without power, and Broward County, which reported about 200 outages.

Among utility providers, Florida Power & Light Company reported the largest number of affected customers with about 1,763 outages, followed by Duke Energy with approximately 1,550 outages and Tampa Electric with around 1,061 customers without service.

Officials said the outages were spread across multiple areas and represented a small percentage of customers statewide. Utility companies continue working to restore service where disruptions occurred.
