Thousands without power following severe storms in Ohio

OHIO — Nearly 5,000 customers across several counties are without power as strong storms continue to move through the area.

As of 6:20 p.m., Ohio Edison reported 4,004 customers without electricity in Clark County alone.

AES Ohio is also reporting 809 outages across multiple counties. According to AES Ohio’s outage map, the breakdown is as follows:

  • Darke County – 465 customers
  • Greene County – 87
  • Montgomery County – 32
  • Preble County – 171
  • Shelby County – 35

Several other counties, including Champaign, Clark, Clinton, Logan, Mercer, Miami, and Warren, are each experiencing fewer than 10 outages.

Utility crews are assessing the damage and working to restore service as weather conditions permit.
