GEORGIA — More than 14,000 homes and businesses remain without power following a snow and ice storm across Georgia as of Monday evening, according to the latest outage data.

The most significant outages are concentrated in White County, where 6,504 customers remain without power. That represents 35.9% of all utility customers in the county, making White the hardest-hit county in Georgia.

Utility crews continue restoration efforts as icy conditions and downed trees impact power lines in parts of North Georgia. Of the 45 utilities tracked statewideHabersham Electric Membership Corporation (EMC) is reporting the largest number of outages, with 7,413 customers still without power.

By percentage, Habersham EMC is also the hardest-hit utility in Georgia, with 22.35% of its customers remaining without power as repair work continues.
