TENNESSEE — Several school districts across Tennessee have announced delayed openings for Tuesday, December 2, due to weather and safety concerns.
Benton County, Dickson County, Houston County, and Stewart County schools will open two hours late. Hickman County and Humphreys County schools will also operate on a two-hour delay.
In northeast Tennessee, Carter County schools in Elizabethton and Johnson County schools in Mountain City will open two hours later than usual.
School officials are advising parents, students, and staff to check local announcements or school websites for updates and to use caution during morning commutes. Safety remains the top priority as winter conditions affect travel throughout the region.
