ALABAMA — A Tennessee woman was killed and a Lauderdale County man was injured in a head-on crash Sunday in Lauderdale County, according to authorities.
The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) said the crash happened along County Road 47 near County Road 63.
Investigators said Daria A. Smith, 33, of Nashville, Tennessee, was driving a 2015 Nissan Rogue when the vehicle collided head-on with a 2018 Jeep Wrangler.
Smith was pronounced dead at the scene, ALEA said.
The driver of the Jeep, a man from Lauderdale County, was injured in the crash and transported to North Alabama Medical Center in Florence for treatment.
The crash remains under investigation by ALEA’s Highway Patrol Division.
