TEXAS — Ten people have been arrested on various drug and firearm charges following an FBI-led operation in the Clinton Park neighborhood of Houston, according to federal officials.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation, along with multiple partner agencies, conducted court-authorized searches Tuesday as part of what officials described as “Operation Spring Cleaning.”
According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, eight suspects — Damian Ray Broussard, Corre Deandre Plater, Stacy Lawton, Quentin Mayes, Johnnie Lee Chatmon, Leroy Lumpkin, Emanuel Walker and Anthony Means — were taken into custody Tuesday on indictments returned in March.
Officials said a ninth suspect, Ronald Maddox, had already been arrested and remains in custody, while a tenth suspect, Justin Leonard, was also taken into custody on related charges and is expected to appear in federal court.
Authorities allege the group was involved in trafficking fentanyl, methamphetamine, cocaine and counterfeit prescription drugs, as well as firearms, within the Clinton Park area.
Investigators said the operation resulted in the seizure of more than 30 firearms, along with cocaine, methamphetamine, fentanyl-laced pills, heroin, marijuana, prescription drugs and cash.
The operation involved assistance from several agencies, including the Houston Police Department, U.S. Marshals Service, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and the Texas Department of Public Safety.
Officials said the investigation remains ongoing.
