Suspected cocaine found in child’s Halloween candy bag in Pennsylvania

PENNSYLVANIA — Police are warning parents to check their children’s Halloween candy after suspected cocaine was discovered in a trick-or-treat bag Saturday night.

According to the Ingram Borough Police Department, the substance was found in a small knotted baggie and tested positive for cocaine in preliminary testing.

Authorities said it is not yet clear where the baggie was placed or how it ended up in the child’s candy.

Police are urging parents and guardians to carefully inspect all trick-or-treat bags and report any suspicious items to the Ingram Borough Police Department at 412-921-6969. The investigation remains ongoing.
