Suspect shot while being served warrant in Ohio

OHIO — A suspect is in critical condition after being shot by Franklin County deputies while they served an arrest warrant at a construction site near Gahanna on Tuesday, according to the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office.

The incident occurred around 825 Tech Center Drive, near Morrison Road. Deputies from the sheriff’s SWAT unit were on the scene to serve an arrest warrant on the suspect when the shooting took place.

Details on how the suspect was shot have not been released.

The suspect was transported to Mount Carmel East hospital, where they remain in critical condition.

Authorities reported that a firearm was recovered from the scene.
