OHIO — A man wanted in connection with a stabbing in Dayton is in custody following a short police chase early Thursday morning, according to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies spotted a Black Cadillac Escalade around 6:30 a.m. in Harrison Township.
The vehicle was linked to a stabbing that occurred the night before, around 11:10 p.m., in the 1400 block of McArthur Avenue.
When deputies attempted to stop the Escalade, the driver fled into Dayton, prompting a pursuit.
“Minutes into the pursuit, the Escalade crashed near the intersection of Otterbein Avenue and Lori Sue Avenue, where the driver bailed on foot,” the sheriff’s office said in a statement.
After a short foot chase, the suspect was apprehended.
Dayton Police arrived on the scene and took the suspect into custody.
