ALABAMA — A Grissom High School student was taken into custody Wednesday after a gun was found inside the student’s vehicle, according to school officials.
Administrators said the situation began after the school received a tip, prompting both school leaders and law enforcement to search the student’s car. During that search, a firearm was discovered, and the student was subsequently taken into custody.
School officials emphasized that the incident was handled quickly and did not disrupt the school day.
As a precaution, additional security will remain on campus for the rest of the week.
No further details about the student or potential charges have been released.
