OHIO — A student is facing multiple charges after authorities found a loaded gun at North College Hill Middle & High School on Wednesday, prompting a lockdown.
The incident began when school resource officer Jen Sena received a report that a student had a firearm on campus.
School officials searched the student’s locker and discovered a loaded Glock 17 inside the student’s backpack.
As a precaution, the school was placed on lockdown while officers conducted a thorough search of both buildings. No additional weapons were found.
The student, a male juvenile, was arrested and charged with inducing panic, carrying a concealed weapon, and illegal possession of a firearm in a school safety zone.
North College Hill Police responded to the scene, along with officers from at least three other departments.
