MARYLAND — A 15-year-old student was arrested Thursday after allegedly bringing a loaded gun onto the campus of Gaithersburg High School, according to the Gaithersburg Police Department.
Police were called to the school shortly after 1 p.m. for an investigation.
During the response, officers and school staff located the student and conducted a search, during which they discovered the loaded firearm.
The teen was taken to the Gaithersburg Police Department station and charged with underage possession of a firearm, possession of a loaded handgun, possession of a dangerous weapon on school property, and possession of a firearm without a serial number.
Authorities have not released the student’s name due to his age.
