FLORIDA — A juvenile was taken into custody Monday after bringing a firearm onto a school bus headed to College Park Elementary, according to the Ocala Police Department.
Police said the bus driver reported the incident, and officers safely recovered the weapon. The juvenile was detained without incident.
No injuries were reported, and officials confirmed that all other students on the bus were unharmed.
Detectives are investigating how the juvenile obtained the firearm and whether there was any intent to cause harm.
