Start dates released for schools in West Virginia

WEST VIRGINIA — Public schools across West Virginia are preparing to welcome students back for the 2025–2026 academic year.

While some county school systems are still finalizing their calendars, many have already announced official start dates for students in grades 1–12.

Pre-K and Kindergarten students may have different start dates, and families are encouraged to check with their county’s Board of Education for additional information.
