OHIO — Travelers across Northeast Ohio faced difficult road conditions on Black Friday as snow and strong winds continued to impact the region.
Authorities reported multiple vehicles sliding off the road on I-480, with several cars found in ditches as bands of lake-effect snow moved through. Winter Weather Advisories and Lake Effect Snow Warnings remained in effect for several counties throughout Friday.
Multiple crashes were also reported on major highways, including I-271 southbound and I-80. While no highways were fully closed, the Ohio Department of Transportation said some lanes were temporarily shut down due to the weather and crash responses.
Officials urged drivers to slow down, allow extra travel time, and use caution as snowy conditions persisted.
