
PENNSYLVANIA — Authorities are investigating after skeletal human remains were discovered in a wooded area of Dauphin County on the evening of March 12.
According to Pennsylvania State Police, troopers from the Harrisburg station were called to the area of Berkstone Circle in West Hanover Township around 7 p.m. after receiving a report of human remains being found.
When officers arrived, they were led to a wooded area north of Kelly Drive, where they confirmed the presence of skeletal human remains.
Investigators from the Pennsylvania State Police Troop H Major Case Team and the Dauphin County Coroner’s Office responded to the scene to process the remains and gather evidence.
Authorities said that, at this time, they do not believe the discovery is connected to a criminal incident. However, the identity of the person, along with the cause and manner of death, has not yet been determined.
The investigation remains ongoing as officials work to identify the remains and learn more about the circumstances surrounding the discovery.
