SOUTH CAROLINA — Six people were arrested and nearly five pounds of methamphetamine were seized during a drug investigation at a Greenville County apartment complex, according to authorities.
The Greenville County Sheriff’s Office said deputies conducted the operation at the Emerald Commons Apartments on White Horse Road following an ongoing investigation into illegal activity.
During the search, investigators recovered 4.92 pounds of methamphetamine and 0.70 pounds of cocaine. Deputies also seized 44.5 grams of marijuana, 3.5 grams of crack cocaine, four Schedule II pills and two Schedule IV pills.
Authorities said four firearms were found at the scene, including one with an obliterated serial number. A pill press was also recovered.
Steven Wilks and Isaac Johnson face the most serious charges. Both were charged with trafficking more than 400 grams of methamphetamine, trafficking more than 200 grams of cocaine and possession of marijuana. They also face charges of possession with intent to distribute cocaine base and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.
Savossia King was charged with trafficking more than 100 grams of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana and possession of a weapon during a violent crime. King also faces two counts of unlawful conduct toward a child, possession of a firearm with an obliterated serial number and possession of a firearm by a person previously convicted of a crime.
Vesta Torres was charged with two counts of unlawful conduct toward a child, trafficking more than 100 grams of methamphetamine and possession of marijuana.
Exzavion Gambrell was charged with trafficking more than 100 grams of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.
Sonya Burriss was charged with possession of controlled substances in Schedule I through V.
All six suspects were booked into the Greenville County Detention Center following the search, authorities said.
