Silver Alert issued for missing person in Tennessee

TENNESSEE — The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has issued a Silver Alert for a missing Henry County woman who was last seen nearly a week ago.

Officials said 89-year-old Jean Powell was last seen on Saturday, Aug. 30. The alert was issued Friday, Sept. 5, just before 11:30 a.m.

Powell is described as 5-foot-4, 145 pounds, with gray hair and blue eyes. She has a medical condition that may impair her ability to return home safely without assistance.

Authorities believe Powell may be in Wisconsin and could be traveling in a black 2009 Nissan Versa with Tennessee license plate PD72378.

Anyone with information on Powell’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Paris Police Department at 731-642-2424 or the TBI at 1-800-TBI-FIND. No additional details were released.
