Silver Alert issued for missing person in Indiana

INDIANA — A statewide Silver Alert was issued Thursday evening for a missing woman last seen in Vincennes, according to Indiana State Police.

Authorities said 54-year-old Taunja Blackburn was last seen around noon on Saturday, Aug. 30, 2025, in Vincennes.

She is described as a white female, 5 feet 3 inches tall, weighing 160 pounds, with red hair and blue eyes. Police did not provide details about the clothing she may have been wearing at the time.

Investigators believe Blackburn is in extreme danger and may need medical assistance.

Anyone with information about her whereabouts is urged to contact the Vincennes Police Department at 812-882-1502 or call 911.
