Shelter-in-place advisory issued for part of Ohio due to suspect search

OHIO — Authorities have issued a shelter-in-place advisory for part of southern Montgomery County as law enforcement searches for a wanted person.

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office said the alert applies to the area surrounding State Route 725 and Paragon Road in Washington Township.

“This action is in response to the presence of a wanted subject,” the sheriff’s office stated. The individual is described as a white male, about 18 years old, wearing a blue long-sleeved shirt and black sweatpants. Officials said he may be armed.

SWAT officers were observed at the scene, and residents and visitors are being urged to remain indoors, lock doors and windows, and avoid the area if possible.
