OHIO — Seven men were hospitalized following a two-vehicle crash early Sunday morning in Dayton, according to a report from the Dayton Police Department.

The incident occurred around 4:15 a.m. near the intersection of Arlene Avenue and Owens Drive.

Police say a 22-year-old man was driving a Ford F-150 southbound on Arlene Avenue with three other men, ranging in age from 21 to 30, as passengers.

According to the report, the driver was traveling at an excessive speed when he attempted to turn left onto Owens Drive. He lost control of the vehicle and struck a parked Nissan Pathfinder.

The Pathfinder, which was legally parked and facing east, had three young men inside — two 19-year-olds and an 18-year-old. All seven individuals involved were transported to either Kettering Health or Miami Valley Hospital with what were described as minor injuries.

The driver of the Ford F-150 was cited for failure to control, the report said.

The crash remains under investigation.
