GEORGIA — Seven people were arrested Friday after a compliance operation revealed tobacco and vape products were being sold to underage buyers, according to the Columbus Police Department.
On Aug. 29, the department’s Special Operations Unit conducted underage tobacco and vape compliance checks at several businesses across the city. Officers said the following individuals were arrested and charged with furnishing tobacco to a minor:
Police said they will continue compliance checks to ensure businesses follow state law and prevent the sale of tobacco and vape products to anyone under the age of 21.
