FLORIDA — Authorities are searching for a teenager after a canoe capsized Monday afternoon on a Central Florida lake.
According to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded just after 1 p.m. to the 5500 block of Lake Jessamine Lane following reports of a canoe overturning on Lake Jessamine.
Officials said four teenagers were on the canoe when it capsized. Three of the teens were rescued.
Emergency crews, including deputies and Orange County Fire Rescue, are continuing to search the lake for the fourth teen.
Authorities say the situation remains under investigation and the search effort is ongoing.
