
LOUISIANA — Authorities are searching for a possible plane crash reported Sunday afternoon near Boyce, according to the Rapides Parish Sheriff’s Office.
Officials said they received reports around 2:30 p.m. of a possible aircraft crash in the area of Cotile Lake.
Multiple agencies responded to the scene, including the Rapides Parish Sheriff’s Office, Cotile Volunteer Fire Department, Flatwoods Volunteer Fire Department, Taylor Hill Volunteer Fire Department and Louisiana State Police.
As of approximately 4 p.m., officials said no aircraft had been located.
Authorities also confirmed that the Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board have been notified.
The situation remains under investigation and additional information has not yet been released.
