KENTUCKY — The Glasgow Police Department announced that multiple safety checkpoints will be conducted periodically from November 7 through November 30, officials said.

According to Major Terry Flatt, checkpoints will take place at locations including Columbia Avenue, West Main Street, North Jackson Highway, and Happy Valley Road, though other areas within city limits may also be included.

Officers will be enforcing laws related to driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, driver and vehicle licensing, registration and insurance, seat belt and child restraint use, and motor vehicle equipment violations.

Major Flatt said the checkpoints are designed to promote public safety and provide opportunities for officers to engage with the community.
