LIMA – On August 16, the U.S. Marshals Southern Ohio Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team (SOFAST) led a coordinated effort with the Ohio State Highway Patrol Special Response Team (SRT), Allen County Sheriff’s Office, Lima Police Department, and the FBI to arrest fugitive Quinntel Bagley in Lima.
Bagley, who was wanted by several central Ohio law enforcement agencies, faced charges of aggravated robbery, aggravated burglary, failure to register as a sex offender, failure to comply, kidnapping, and a parole violation.
He had been on the run since June 13 after escaping police custody.
Bagley managed to flee while receiving medical treatment at the Fairfield Medical Center following his arrest for kidnapping a woman.
The U.S. Marshals adopted the case after his escape and launched an extensive investigation to track him down.
Bagley was eventually located hiding in a home on the 400 block of Cornell Drive in Lima. He was taken into custody and transported to the Allen County Jail, where he awaits his extradition hearing.
“The U.S. Marshals Service and the deputies assigned to our Southern Ohio Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team have specialized training and resources that make them experts in finding those who try to evade justice,” said Michael Black, U.S. Marshal for the Southern District of Ohio.
