OHIO — The holiday season can be a challenging time for families in need, but Toys for Tots aims to brighten the lives of children by providing free toys.
Founded by the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve, Toys for Tots has distributed millions of toys nationwide since 1947.
In Ohio, the Columbus Toys for Tots campaign is working to ensure no child goes without a gift this year.
Ohio families in need can apply to receive toys through the local campaign website. Applications are typically open to families with children aged 14 and younger, and proof of need may be required.
The program partners with schools, churches, and social service organizations to identify eligible families and distribute toys.
Community members can also get involved by donating new, unwrapped toys at designated drop-off locations or volunteering to help sort and distribute gifts.
For more information, visit the Columbus Toys for Tots website or contact the local campaign coordinator.
