OHIO — A deadly crash shut down part of Interstate 75 northbound in Wood County early Sunday morning, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

Troopers said the crash occurred around 3 a.m., though it remains unclear how many vehicles or people were involved. At least one person has been confirmed dead.

The Ohio Department of Transportation reported that I-75 northbound, just north of Buck Road, will remain closed through Sunday morning as investigators work at the scene. The highway is expected to reopen around noon, according to an ODOT spokesperson.

Drivers are urged to use alternate routes to avoid delays. The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
