
VIRGINIA — Law enforcement officers seized drugs, weapons and other items during the execution of a search warrant late last night in Clifton Forge, according to authorities.
The search warrant was carried out on Roxbury Street by the Alleghany Highlands Drug Task Force, assisted by the Alleghany County Regional Emergency Response Team. During the search, officers seized methamphetamines, marijuana, drug paraphernalia, ammunition, weapons and cash.
Officials said the investigation is ongoing and remains under the direction of the Alleghany Highlands Drug Task Force. No additional details, including information on arrests or charges, were immediately released.
The Alleghany Highlands Drug Task Force is a multi-agency unit made up of members from the Alleghany County Sheriff’s Office, Covington Police Department, Bath County Sheriff’s Office, Craig County Sheriff’s Office and the Virginia State Police.
Authorities also encouraged community members to seek help or report concerns related to illegal drug use or distribution.
