NORTH CAROLINA — Authorities are looking for a man accused of stealing a vehicle and fleeing from deputies in West Asheville last week, according to the Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office.
On August 28, members of the Sheriff’s Office Illegal Gun Reduction Narcotics Task Force attempted to stop a stolen vehicle when the driver, identified as Daniel Reynolds, sped away. Deputies later found the vehicle abandoned, but Reynolds was not located.
Reynolds now faces multiple charges, including felony flee to elude, possession of a stolen motor vehicle, possession of stolen goods, possession of fentanyl, possession of alprazolam, reckless driving, driving left of center, driving with a revoked license, speeding 70 mph in a 35 mph zone, two stop sign violations, and failure to wear a seatbelt.
Deputies continue to search for Reynolds. Anyone with information is urged to contact the Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office.
