
GEORGIA — Police in Opelika are asking for the public’s help in identifying a woman accused of stealing and using a victim’s credit or debit card.
According to the Opelika Police Department, the incident began on March 30 when officers responded to Planet Fitness on Pepperell Parkway. The victim reported receiving a bank notification about a fraudulent charge and later discovered their purse was missing from their vehicle.
Investigators say surveillance footage from a Walmart store showed the suspect using the stolen cards.
Police described the suspect as a woman with blue hair who was wearing a black Tupac T-shirt, black leggings and yellow-and-black shoes.
Authorities are urging anyone who recognizes the suspect to contact the Opelika Police Department’s Detective Division at 334-705-5220. Tips can also be submitted anonymously through the Opelika Police mobile app.
The investigation is ongoing.
